Horseshoe Craft & Flea Market Fabulous Beginning to Season

Alright, so technically our first show was end of April at the Boulder Farmer’s Market. But it snowed! The highly anticipated and remarkably AWESOME Horseshoe Craft and Flea Market brought some amazing folks together for vintage and handmade shopping. 

I always try and run around for a few minutes and meet the folks around me, reconnect with people I only see once or thrice a year, take some pics and generally enjoy the company of some fairly interesting folks. 

Curious Lottie’s Fancycrafts has these repurposed sweater dolls that I have put in my mind as required giving- the colors, shapes and perfect huggability of them is a trifecta of perfecta!

Objects of Affection was right next door. She has an amazing eye for vintage details- could not believe the awesome old school “See Spot Run” vintage posters, as well as the boxes of vintage flash cards scored from a school auction. 

It was also an interesting day for food trucks. In addition to Deluxe, I Knead Pizza, the Coffee van man, and the Hulu Hut mock-tails (lime basil beverage was a knockout) Seabirds, a vegan food truck from Cali, chose the market as their 12- 4 pm hot spot, competing in the Food Network’s Great Food Truck Race. The line was bonkers.

Mother's Day Heralds First Official Day of Planting in Colorado

So much happening, let’s put it in chronological order!

NOW: A selection of our Table to Farm™ Garden Markers can be purchased at Revampt Home Goods, a hot new boutique in Cherry Creek North selling some truly smart, well designed and chic revampt goods.

SAT APRIL 23- Boulder Farmers Market Boulder, 8 am-2 pm. We’ll have over 60 varieties of garden markers, leaving the Push Pin Puzzles™ for later in the season.

SAT MAY 7- The Horseshoe Craft & Flea Market Denver- 9 am - 4 pm- Also all Table to Farm™ Garden Markers all day. Hey, it’s the day before Mother’s Day, the first official day of planting in Colorado!

SAT JUNE 4- SUN JUNE 5- People’s Fair 40th Anniversary Show- Denver- Two day extravenganza of garden markers and Push Pin Puzzles™! IT. WILL. BE. BONKERS.

SAT JUNE 18- Boulder Farmers Market Boulder, 8 am-2 pm. MORE Garden markers!

SAT JULY 16- Boulder Farmers Market Boulder, 8 am-2 pm. We’re bustin’ out the Push Pin Puzzles™ along side the garden markers.

FRI JULY 28- SUN JULY 31- Denver County Fair- Folks, it’s gonna be a rockin’ county fair the likes of which have never been seen. No. Not hyperbole. Denver has never had its county fair! This is the FIRST EVER and they are planning some good old fashioned meets new fashioned fun.

SAT AUG 6- The Horseshoe Craft & Flea Market- 9 am- 4 pm- Denver. We’ll be enjoying some word nerdage, perhaps even host our first ever competition to complete a Push Pin Puzzle™. Oh yes.

SAT OCT 1- The Horseshoe Craft & Flea Market- 9 am- 4 pm- Denver. The last of the Horseshoe cycle, we’ll be ginning up some fun in the sun.

SAT NOV 8- SUN NOV 9- Molly McGee Holiday Market, Boulder County Fair Grounds, Longmont. What the? It’s holiday season already? Well, let’s DO THIS! Gifts for those fabulous garden geeks and word nerds.

Working on a New Season

Everything is coming together in the studio to make for an exciting year of new projects. We have our rotary engraver in hand and fired up a test run, engraving our logo into my bright purple water bottle and the result is SPECTACULAR.

We’ve also been catching up on custom work including an optical illusion box that made my eyes twitch trying to get it eye-twitchy enough, a set of etched glass panels to be installed in a client’s east coast garden gates, and a few other design challenges that are flexing my problem solving skills. We’ll post pics in our Image Galleries.
